At around 11:48 a.m. on the 1st, a magnitude 5.8 earthquake occurred with its epicenter off the eastern coast of Aomori Prefecture, and the maximum seismic intensity of 4 was observed in Hokkaido, Aomori, and Iwate prefectures. There is no concern about tsunamis caused by this earthquake.
