a40
The A40 is a major highway in France, linking Mâcon to Passy, and serving the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in particular. It is currently the subject of particular attention following a major road check which stopped traffic in the direction of Lyon. In addition, initiatives to reduce noise pollution, such as the installation of noise barriers by ATMB, are also underway on this axis. This motorway is essential for regional and cross-border travel, particularly to Switzerland and Italy, and is managed by the ATMB company over a large part of its route.
