Ski jumping is a winter sport in which athletes jump into the air on a ski jump and try to land as far as possible. Ski jumping is currently popular again in Germany, possibly due to the upcoming competitions or the return of prominent jumpers. Ski jumping is part of the Ski Jumping World Cup and is organized by the FIS, the international ski association. The discipline requires a combination of strength, endurance and technique to be successful.
